Assignment: Create a yearly campaign for Stars Scholarship Fund, using real student recipients, without feeling like a boring testimonial commercial. We create 3 main spots in English and Spanish concentrating on Applying & Promoting the Scholarship and lastly thanking the sponsors who make it happen.
Using real students can be a challenge when directing a crew of 14 professionals and not knowing what you are going to get out of the recipients. It's my job to talk to, and vet the recipients as they walk on set to see who is more outgoing, well spoken and which students speak Spanish.

Production consists of a 14 person crew, a full ton grip truck and a Panasonic Varicam camera package. We traveled to 4 different markets and 5 different universities over the course of 7 days, with a total of over 60 recipients participating. Pre Production took about 5 weeks and Post Production is an all year round collaboration with our client to hit certain markets at certain times of the year.
This is an Unscripted Project. The only story boarded and planned shots are the lifestyle B-roll scenes where we showcase students living in their college environment.
